Friends of SMART works to inform citizens of Sonoma and Marin Counties about the benefits of restoring rail transportation in the North Bay.
We share a vision of a multi-modal transportation corridor where cities and towns along on the currently unused railroad right-of-way have the benefit of high quality freight and passenger services, together with a greenway for bicycles and pedestrians. Our organization co-sponsors tours and forums, and provides informed speakers to explore modern transit services, and the compact communities that thrive within walking distance of rail stations.
If you have questions about Friends of SMART, the most convenient way to contact us is to send an e-mail to fos@pacbell.net or to call 707/576-6632.
